  1. hello, lexie,

love the intro in your about page. so true… ^^

hey, like you, i also lost my mother to cancer a couple of years back. but i have yet to learn how to do that – to live lightly… i hope one day, i will… yes, to be able to practice that life one always talks about, but never walks. i hope soon… regards and cheers! πŸ™‚

    1. Hi there!

Thank you for sharing your hardship. If I had any advice about walking the walk, it would be to allow the tough times to mold you into a stronger person… I had a hard time at first, but my Mother was adventurous and strong, and she walked her walk no matter how hard the times were or sick she was.

I believe in you! There is no better day then tomorrow πŸ˜‰

      1. Thanks for this, Lexie. I’ll remember that… It’s Lenten season over here (Holy Friday for the Catholics). Hopefully, some optimistic realizations will veer my way, ahaha. Cheers to us! πŸ™‚

    1. I’m assuming your name is Linda? Well, Linda, thank you for the comment! You made my evening πŸ˜€ And good luck with the heights!

  2. Hey! I just wanted to let you know that I’ve nominated you for a One Lovely Blog award. My post will be published tomorrow, but basically once you’ve been nominated, you create a post with a link to whoever nominated you, list 7 random things about yourself, and select a handful of blogs that inspire you or that you love and feature them in the post.

    Happy writing!

  3. I re-nominated living lightly for the one lovely blog award. thank you so much for your support and inspiration.

  4. Hi Lexie, first of all, you have a very nice home page. My question is linked with that. I just started to build up my own page, and I have a big problem. I use the same theme, like you, The Morning After, and on the first page I, at the “Latest post” part, the picture not appeard. What you fixed to obtain this? On your page is that little bit rainy picture with with a hat in front of a castle(?). Thank you, Zsolt

    1. Hi Zsolt, great question! It’s very easy to do… In the editing area for the post scroll down the right hand side of the screen. At the bottom on the right hand side you will see a box that says “set featured image”. Click on this option and upload the image you would like to use. Before you hit save, click the “set featured image” link within the uploading screen. I hope this helps! And good luck with your new theme!

      1. Thanks a lot! Now I understand, you help me a lot. I have to rethink some things, but at least I know in what direction I could go. Have a nice day!

  5. Hi Lexie! Nice Blog! I’m actually starting out but apparently am having problems with inserting posts under a page.. how do you categorise these? Love your pictures and travels by the way. Look fantabulous! πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Elvin! You can categorize your posts when you create them. Go to the dashboard and to new post. From there the right hand sidebar will have options like tags and categories. You can create them there, and check the box for what applies to the post. I hope that helps! Cheers!

  6. Hi Lexie, I’m able to categorise my articles. But just wondering how you parked the articles under the appropriate headers on your menu. Can’t seem to find an option for that. Is there something I’m missing?

    1. Hi Elvin… I see what you mean. All of the templates are different – for mine I go to the Menus option under Appearance in the Dashboard. This allows me to create the drop downs from my menu, and create and edit the menu titles, etc. In a couple cases I just added links off to related pages from the main menu pages (like photography). Does that help? πŸ™‚
